An initial property visit, to look at the suitability of the home with an action plan. Supporting with setting up policies and procedures, staff files, young person files and activity / home risk assessments. Supporting the RI in the completion of SC1/SC2, SOP, children’s guide, location risk assessment, core registration policies planning permission, and cash flow. Coaching and preparing the Home Manager and RI for their fit persons interview with Ofsted. Also included is one pre-registration inspection visit (additional if required) and unlimited telephone support throughout the registration process.
We can also work with you to register your supported accommodation with Ofsted.
Reg 44 - We provide monthly, comprehensive Regulation 44 inspections and reports in compliance with the Children’s Home Regulations (20215). Detailed reports are submitted to Registered Manager, Responsible Individual and Ofsted.
Mock 'Ofsted' Inspection - We can assess the effectiveness of your service and highlight any gaps, so that you can begin to make improvements before the real inspection. You will be provided with a detailed report with recommendations for improvement.
Disciplinary investigations and independent complaint investigations - investigations are impartial and thorough.
If you have been issued with an Ofsted compliance notice, we can provide advice and support to get you through this difficult time by developing an action plan to meet the compliance notice and supporting the Management team with the implementation of the action plan. We can also provide pre-inspection quality assurance audits.
Creation of working policies and procedures which include contracts of employment, employee handbooks and HR policies.
Certain areas can be focused on such as developing leadership skills, managing staff, gaining a greater understanding of regulation and compliance, and improving evidence recording.
Professional supervisions for Directors, Responsible Individuals and Nominated Individuals with agreed actions and targets. We can provide these on a one off or ongoing monthly basis.
You must comply with regulations 32 and 33 and schedule 2 of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 when you recruit staff to work at your children’s home.
We provide training to help you make sure you're recruiting the right staff for your children's home or supported accommodation. This is vital to help create a safe and positive environment and keep children safe from harm.
As a qualified, freelance PRICE Training Instructor, Steve can deliver PRICE Training’s positive approaches to challenging behaviour courses to develop the right culture, knowledge-base and skillset needed to keep those in need of support safe as well as those who provide the care and support.
