  Helping Hands Care and Consultancy is a multi-service independent consultancy, offering wraparound solutions to support children’s residential care and adult care providers at every stage of their business. We provide expert guidance and training to support our clients to meet Ofsted and CQC regulatory requirements, ensure they are fully compliant and deliver the highest quality of care.

We are seeking experienced professionals with a proven track record in children's residential care to join our team as a children's residential care consultant.

Location: Across the UK

As a children’s residential care consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with the day-to-day management, compliance, and operational improvement of their services. Reporting directly to the Director, you will provide strategic guidance, regulatory insight, and practical solutions to help our clients achieve and maintain high-quality care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist consultancy/Responsible Individual services to children’s residential care providers.
• Support clients in achieving and maintaining Ofsted compliance and high-quality standards.
• Conduct independent audits, strategic reviews, and Regulation 44 visits.
• Provide leadership and support to service staff.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of failing homes, implementing improvement strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of Ofsted consultancy experience working in an operational, Responsible Individual, regulatory compliance, or a similar role.
• 5+ years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager managing children’s home rated ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and best practices in children's social care.
• Exceptional organisational, time management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Access to own vehicle with a willingness to travel nationally.
• Valid Driver's License. 
• DBS registered and on the update system.

This role is on an independent/contract basis. Helping Hands Care and Consultancy will provide you with ongoing support and guidance during each contract.
